Meet Our 3 Calzavara Memorial Rodeo Scholarship Recipients
Time to introduce the last but certainly not least of our 3 amazing new Calzavara Memorial Rodeo Scholarship recipients. Meet Alex Odle from Brush, CO. She is a phenomenal girl with a spectacular 3.89 GPA while also on the Dean’s List & the President’s Honor Roll. Attending South Plains College in Levelland, TX for 2 years Alex will transfer to Sam Houston University for pre-vet studies. She is also interested in Ag Business/Science. Her references applaud her as being extraordinarily proficient with terrific communication skills & they call her a positive role model & a treasure for every organization she has been a part of.
In 2016 she was the National High School Rodeo Finals Barrel Racing Champion and in 2015 she won the IFYR Pole Bending Championship. Other rodeo accomplishments include being the IFYR Youth Director. She has competed in and won in Team Roping, Breakaway Roping & Ribbon Roping and has earned many All-Around Championships, With 3 siblings who will also be attending college Alex is tackling much of the cost of obtaining a great education through hard work, scholastic excellence and rodeo competition. Sounds like she’s already a winner to us. The world of rodeo will be hearing a lot from this young lady. Congratulations & Best Wishes Alex!
