Covid-19 Virus Update: The Piatt County Trail Blazers Rodeo has been Canceled

It is with great regret that we inform you that due to the unprecedented Covid-19 virus that for the first time in 66 years the Piatt County Trail Blazers Rodeo in Monticello, IL has been cancelled. The Piatt County Trail Blazers Board considered all options before making their final decision. Everything from the effects on Monticello and surrounding areas, sponsors, vendors, contestants and rodeo personnel as well as the overall financial implications were assessed and a unanimous decision was reached. The Piatt County Trail Blazers are already working on making their 2021 rodeo their biggest ever. To all of the thousands of guests who annually attend the Trail Blazers Rodeo and our crew and contestants, we are so sorry to disappoint you but also know that you will understand the reasoning behind this decision.

We also want you to know that the scheduled Wild West Town Pro Rodeo in Union, IL, scheduled for Sept 5-6 has also been cancelled. There will likely be more cancellations and we will keep you all informed as soon as we have confirmation.
