2010 Big Hat Award Series...

Each season Big Hat Rodeo creates a contestant awards series based on input from contestants, sponsors and rodeo committees. Contestants competing in participating rodeos earn bonus points for each rodeo they compete in and additional points every time they place in any event.

Participating rodeos and contestants alike have reaped benefits from the incentive program. Contestant numbers have risen at the rodeos and the contestants have received nearly $10,000.00 in awards annually.

The 2010 Series rodeos are:

July 2-3 Galena, IL **Double Points

July 14 Freeport, IL

July 15 Ottawa, IL

July 17 St. Charles, IL **Double Points

July 30 Oregon, IL

Aug 5 Milledgeville, IL

Aug 14 Belvidere, IL

Aug 21-22 Elkhorn, WI **Double Points

Sept 11 Belvidere, IL

Sept 24-25-26 Sterling, IL **Double Points

To qualify for awards you must be a

current member of the IPRA/CSRA

and compete in a minimum of

8 rodeos (6 for Team Ropers).

In 2010 there will be 4 "double points rodeos" as well as 3 with double cash bonuses.

The St. Charles and Aug Belvidere rodeos in IL and the Elkhorn, WI rodeo will pay a

$100. cash bonus to each event winner and offer double Series points. Galena, IL

will also be a double points rodeo. All remaining rodeos will award a $50. cash bonus to each event winner. The Barrel Racng winner at both Galena and Sterling, IL will also receive a custom designed jewelry award.

Series awards include a $500 cash bonus to the Series High Points Total (in one or

multiple events). The Bareback Riding and Saddle Bronc Riding Champs will also get a $500.00 cash bonus. Other Series awards include custom made belt buckles for all event winners, fuel card drawings throughout the Series and merchandise awards. A

competition bonus of 100 points will be awarded for each rodeo you compete in. Email or call us with any questions or suggestions.
